8Ways to Increase Website Traffic
As a self-adhesive label supplier for 21 years, I would like to share my SEO experience with you today.
show you how to attract more traffic to your website.
1. Quuu is an extremely easy way to get people to promote your content on social media.
All you need to do is submit your best content and they will ask influencers to share it on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.
Some time ago, I promoted one of my posts on Quuu. And got some shares from influential people in the field of digital marketing:
2. Republish old articles on LinkedIn
LinkedIn is a great place to publish content.
For example, a few years ago I published a study on YouTube ranking factors on my blog:
The article did really well. A lot of people read my article and shared it on social media.
But I knew there were thousands of people who could benefit from my content.
So I republished my content as a LinkedIn article:
3. Use the“ Question Analyzer” to Create Extremely Useful Content
This strategy is a great way to make your content even better.
(As you know, better content = more traffic.)
All you need to do is:
Find the questions your target audience is asking online.
Answer them in your content.
Here’s how:
First, use a tool like Buzzsumo’s Question Analyzer or Answer the Public to find questions people are asking:
Then, create full posts to answer these questions
or incorporate the answers into your content
4. Add engaging content to your social media posts
This is a mistake many people make:
They share content on social media without giving people any reason to click.
Here’s an example:
But I’ve recently discovered something:
Adding content to your posts can greatly increase your click-through rate.
For example, when I publish a new post, I now include a bulleted list of features:
As you can see, the extra content drove a ton of engagement:
5. Improve your organic click-through rate
If you want to get more traffic from Google, you don’t need a higher ranking.
Instead, you can focus on improving your click-through rate (CTR).
For example, let’s say you’re ranked #3 for your target keyword. Your CTR is 4%.
You just doubled your organic traffic without improving your rankings.
Click-through rate is now an important ranking signal in Google’s algorithm.
So when you get a higher CTR, your search engine rankings will also improve.
So how can you actually increase your CTR?
Here are some very effective tips:
Add numbers to your title (like “21” or “98%”)
Write compelling meta descriptions
Test different titles to see which one gets the best CTR
Use emotionally charged titles
Include keywords in your URL
Let’s jump right into the next tip…
6. Publish more list posts
When it comes to driving traffic to your website, list posts work really well.
And there’s evidence to back this up.
In the same study, they found that list posts trumped all other content formats:
7. Keep an eye on your competitors’ traffic sources
Imagine you could see exactly where traffic is being sent to your competitors.
That would be a gold mine, right?
Well, your competitors aren’t going to send you their Google Analytics passwords.
Luckily, you don’t need it.
Why?
You can see all of their top traffic sources for free using SimilarWeb.
SimilarWeb not only shows you an overview of your site’s traffic, but it also gives you a quick overview of your site’s traffic.
8. Publish your content on Medium
Medium.com is one of the best places to publish your best content.
In fact, I recently got 310 targeted visitors from a single Medium post in a week:
310 visitors isn’t going to change my life or anything.
But that’s 310 visitors that took about 3 minutes to get.
All you need to do is repost your content verbatim on Medium.
Here’s an example of one of my Medium reposts:
